The heatsinks are different depending on whether you have UMA or dedicated video. If dedicated there is another chip that has to be cooled and the heatsink has another whole part to it. Need to know the exact board you are going to get before the heatsink can be paired with it.

I would tend to agree with you, but why did the woman from HP say they are the same and the one I have which is UMA would be fine, I wish there was a picture of all three parts so I can 100% confirm instead of spending 90$ and finding out I do not need it.

I currently have he UMA one 720231-001, but I would think per the service manual I would need the 720233-001, but again she said I would be fine with the  720231-001, I am just trying to confirm 100% on what to do here, I am really leaning to the new heatsink and fan to support the  Nvidia N14P-GT, which I currently do not have on the notherboard I am replacing, but the new one will.

Thanks for your assitance, wish I could find real pictures of three heat sinks to see the parts.

It looks like what I am thinking and what Huffer is saying is right, I found a picture of the 232:

Much different than the 231:

I would assume the 233 is different than the 232, but yet to find a picture. would love to pay the price of the 232 on ebay instead of the 90$ , but it is looking like i

f I am to do it right , I need to go with the 233.

Thanks Huffer.

If anyone has a heatsink part number 720233-001, let me know, elseiwse I will just spend the 90$...
