OK I got the motherboard today and found out 1 it had 1 original screw in the  heatsink hold down the rest was T type of screws (not original ) 2 they as being the wrong type did not hold the heatsink next to the CPU and the thermal paste was like water and on the outside of the heatsink

I replaced the heatsink with my old one after fighting those screws to take it off

I will try it later as looks like the speaker wire is pulled out of the socket a=so needed to buy a new (Used) set)

so I think they lost the screws and that is why it was not working and slowing down will know more later

Done for the day

OK so I got the laptop motherboard in and put the battery in and the speakers but the battery icon says it is not detected

if the motherboard went out cause of the battery not being put in correctly (I hope not) but can it cause the battery to short out and that cause the motherboard to also go out?

Todd

PS I think I heatsink was the problem as it ran for awhile without slowing down
