Hi folks,
Does somebody have experience upgrading HP ENVY 15-u493cl
notebook by SSD M.2 Crucial MX300 525GB 2280 SATA TLC ?
I'm going to buy this Solid State Drive and waht to be sure that it will fit and there would be no some hardware conflict etc.
In this notebook already present HDD 1T and I want to add additional SSD. Not to remove HDD and replace it by SSD. I want to use both.
In user manual of this notebook indicated the presence of slot for the M.2 SSD.
But anyway I wont to miss smth and make a mistake.
Thanks,
Oleksii

HI
You are sure to have a slot for M2SATA, these are the specifications of the manual despite being generic, I do not get compatible data on this hard drive.
If you would have different SSD compatible.

Hi GPU-2,
Thank you for your answer.
I can't be really sure about M.2 slot in my model.. because of the wrong manual I've read.
Btw also I've provided vrong model name. Sorry for that ...
So for sure my notebook model is
HP ENVY x360 - 15-u493cl (ENERGY STAR)
Product number:N5S77UAR
But for this model I can't find Maintenance and Service Guide =( to get info if m2 slot is provided.
So I will be grateful if someone can tell me if in this model provided m2 SSD slot and can I use both drives HDD and m.2 SSD.
Thanks

Although my level is 5, what I put is not incorrect, if you are not sure, just use this tool where it will indicate if you can put or supports M2sATA.
