I've owned this laptop for a few years now and recently I've wanted to upgrade the RAM on it for more memory for more tasks. Unfortunately I've lost the manual for my laptop and I'm not sure if it would be able to take in new memory chips. Any help on if it can and if so any recommendations for chips would be appreciated, thank you.

Hi:
There seems to be conflicting information in the service manual.
Chapter 1 indicates the memory is onboard (soldered to the motherboard) and the notebooks come with 16, 12 or 8 GB.
However, Chapter 3 has the list of motherboards, and the only differences are processors and graphics adapter.
No mention of different memory configurations.
Chapter 5 has a procedure to remove and replace the memory and shows part numbers for replacement memory modules.
The Crucial memory report indicates the memory is removable and can support up to 2 x 32 GB of memory.

You may want to do some exploratory surgery before ordering memory for your notebook to see what's what.
The memory is hidden underneath a metal shield as shown in the illustration in chapter 5 on page 35.
If the memory can be upgraded, buy one or two of the DDR4-3200 Crucial memory chips in a capacity you want that have the green circuit boards.
