Hi all,
I am the proud owner of this amazing HP tablet. The only problem is: the hinges for the kickstand are getting quite loose.
I can't even put the tablet on a wooden table, or it will just "slide out" and collapse all the way back...
Can these hinges be tightened? Since I couldn't find a thing about that.
Or do they need to be replaced? I'm willing to do that myself, but it is still under warranty...
If someone would know an awesome tip, then that would be appreciated!
Kind regards,
Roy

Hi!
Unfortunately after giving the appropriate information, HP said I needed to call the Dutch service telephone number. But that one was incredibly busy. I unfortunately could not get a hold of anyone.. 😞
But I was forwarded to the English service, and they said I need to send it away to an HP service centre. Which unfortunately does not cut it for me. I am very dependable of this tablet. So I asked if I could get the replacement hinges send out to me, but that was not an option since it's not "an user replaceable/serviceable part".
That is a shame though, since i have very good experiences with the HP support.
Normally I repair HP products as my job, but since this is an "consumer buy", they are not willing to send any replacement parts... 😞
And i specifically bought this model also because of the repair-ability.
Hopefully you could help me?
Kind regards,
Roy

Hi @Asmita6658,
I indeed know, but I am a technician. I replace HP parts all the time as my job.
But since this is my private tablet, I'm suddenly not qualified for replacing the part because it is an as consumer bought device.
Do you see what I mean there?
It really would be a shame if I have to send the tablet in...
I guess if there's no other way.... 😞
Otherwise I'd just have to buy the part on the HP Partsurfer website...
Kind regards,
Roy
