Product: HP EliteBook 840 Aero G8 Notebook PC (2E5E7AV)
My HP EliteBook Pro Aero 840 G8 battery will not charge. When I plug the charger in, the light next to it blinks several times then goes off. I have tried:
- Different power adapter
- Ran UEFI diags 10.8; battery checked out okay before it finally ran out of charge
- Held the power button down for 15 sec to reset the battery
- Removed the bottom looking for obvious signs of trauma; everything looked normal
Windows 11 24H2 was running normally before the battery finally died.
Any suggestions on how to fix what is otherwise a perfectly good laptop?
