I am trying to find out if my laptop supports DisplayPort Alt mode by USB C to be able to drive multiple displays through a USB C Hub. The two USB sockets on the laptop only have the USB data symbol and the HP smbol for power supply. What they don't have is the Display Port symbol.
What I really want is a portable hub supporting3 displays. I know an HP G2 USB C will work but with its PSU it is too much of a brick to be portable

hello
your product support DisplayPort Alt mode and USB C Hubs.
you hust need to enable in bios
This can be performed by pressing the F10 key while the computer is restarting.
- Select Advanced > System Options.
- Check Enable High Resolution mode when connected to a USB-C DP a lot mode dock.

Hi Charlie,
Thanks.
The problem with the HP USB Dock G5 is that you need its large power supply as well and in average laptop bag there would be no space for anything else. I also do not think the USB cable coming out of the Hub will last very long if you are constantly carrying it around in a bag - teh cable will start cutting at the case of the Hub.
Any other more portable Hub supporting3 displays you know will work?

there are some docks but with supporting 3 displays maybe the HP USB-C/A UNIVERSAL DOCK G2 can fit
