HP Envy only 3.5 years old. Hinge issue which appears to BE WELL-KNOWN BY HP WHO REFUSES TO DEAL WITH IT for these computers which cost well over $1000!!!! The hinge separation broke a piece of plastic behind the screen which then cracked the screen on bottom left. Now my expensive laptop has become a DESKTOP since I can't close or open it without making it worse! I need this fixed! If I wanted a desktop computer, I would have bought one, and for a lot cheaper than $1300! A computer this expensive was worth it since I meant to use it as a LAPTOP for several years, not be forced to park it open at my desk after only 3 years! I'm furious with the fact that HP has KNOWN about this for YEARS as evidenced by the complaints on this forum going back several years, and HP has done NOTHING to fix it! These laptops should be RECALLED and repaired for free! I hope HP will contact me to get this repaired asap bc I am fed up and wishing I had bought another brand at this point.
