Spacebar, Delete, Backspace, Down Arrow, and perhaps more keys don't work. Tried upgrading drivers. No recentrestore point. This is a recent problem. Not the keyboard as sometimes the keys work. Sometimes they work

when typing very slowly. Hopefully someone has a solution.

Hi @KevinO506,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing intermittent issues with your HP Envy x360 15's keyboard, where certain keys like the Spacebar, Delete, Backspace, and Down Arrow occasionally don't work. Here's a step-by-step guide that may help resolve the issue:

Check for Physical Obstructions:

  • Ensure there is no debris or dust under the keys that could obstruct their operation. Use compressed air to gently clean around and under the affected keys.

Test in Safe Mode:

  • Boot your computer in Safe Mode to determine if the issue is software-related. If the keys work fine in Safe Mode, a third-party application or process might be interfering.

Check Keyboard Settings:

  • Open the Settings app, go to "Devices" > "Typing," and ensure no settings are interfering with keyboard operations, such as filter keys or sticky keys.

Restart Your Computer:

  • A simple restart can sometimes resolve issues caused by temporary software glitches.

Reinstall Keyboard Drivers:

  • Go to Device Manager, find the keyboard under “Keyboards,” and uninstall it. Restart your computer, and it will automatically reinstall the default driver.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Ensure your Windows is up to date, as updates can include important fixes for hardware compatibility.

Use HP Support Assistant:

Perform a Keyboard Test:

  • Use online keyboard testing tools to see if the keys are being recognized correctly when pressed.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
