I want to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11; however, the compatibility check says that the Processors/CPUs (Central Processing Units) do not fulfill the minimum requirements at the moment.
- Will HP upgrade the Processor/CPU?
- Will I ever be able to upgrade to Windows 11 in my current PC?

Hi:
Notebook processors made in the last 7 years or so have been integral parts of the motherboard.
Unfortunately, none of the motherboards offered in the model series have processors that meet Microsoft's minimum requirements to support an easy upgrade to W11.

If you are interested in installing W11 on your PC as is, you can read this discussion for how I upgraded several HP and Dell notebook and desktop PC's that did not meet the W11 hardware requirements to W11 22H2.
You have to use the version of the Rufus utility that I zipped up and attached in the discussion (v3.18).

If the in-place upgrade fails, you should be able to clean install W11 using the bootable W11 installation flash drive you made with Rufus.

Thanks a lot Paul.
Since I am an user with no deep experience in computers, I think I will let it be. Risk of loosing my files (most pictures) is a concern to me. I guess I was hoping HP would be able to make the needed upgrades to enable upgrading to W11.
Have a great day, Karina 🙂
