Hi,
I have just ordered a laptop, HP Envy 15t-q300, and I have question regarding it's RAM compatibility.
Product Number: L6E55AV_1
Link to the laptop that I purchased.
http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/Laptops/hp-envy---15t-slim-quad-laptop-l6e55av-1#!&TabName=specs
It is coming with 1 DIMM 8GB DDR3L RAM. Now I just ordered another 8GB DDR3 (which says 1.35 V though and at some retailer like Newegg the same RAM is also listed as DDR3L) to put in the empty slot to make a total of 16GB.
RAM that I ordered for empty slot.

Is it ok to have two different modules in two different sockets?
Will the performance degrade or may not be close to having similar modules?
Is it ok to put the above module along with the one that came from HP?
Any suggestions or feedback will be appreciated.
Also any comments on the laptop that I have ordered?
Thanks

Hi,
You need to have SAME specs and best option: same brand to get optimum performance. More information:
A small program calle CPU-Z will show you your existing RAM speca. Youcan download from:
http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/cpu-z/1.70-setup-en.exe

Hello
I am also think about buying this laptop. Just want to ask couple question to make sure:
1) Does the battery removable?
2) May be you also know about "control zone trackpad" issue of HP and everybody is complaing about it. Does this version has the same "control zone trackpad"( like this https://www.google.com/search?q=control+zone+trackpad&espv=2&biw=1366&bih=667&source=lnms&tbm=isch&s...
OR is it different? Are you have problems this trackpad?
3) From my previous experience(HP envy m6 and other) I know that HP laptops get really hot. Do you tested your laptop under some heavy CPU (heavy simulations) and gaming?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Ratbek
