HP has set to automatically update. Today, it tried to get the following update:
HP Firmware pack (intel processors) , soft paq # sp113079, Version F.12 (version A, March 26, 2021 dated), but it failed miserably each time my computer tried to restart to finish the update. I believe it's a BIOS update and it just won't update.
I reached to tech support chat, but after one hour the tech rep simply repeated exact same steps and said I must send my PC to them for a repair. He thought something is wrong with motherboard. But I had a feeling he just didn't know why my PC wouldn't update.
Does anyone here knows what is wrong and why I get "failed to update" error on this particular update?

Request you to follow the below troubleshooting steps from the document:-
I understand that you're unable to update the BIOS HP Pavillion Laptop and it needs to download one by one and needs to restart the computer to make sure the Adapter or Charger needs to be connected,

I saw this hyperlink way before I posted here and chatted with HP representative online. My computer is still under full warranty. it's unfortunate that HP hires techs who have no clue how the product they are supposed to troubleshoot works.

We have shared the step by step procedure, request to follow those to avoid BIOS installation failure. Also this (failing to update) can happen due to multiple reasons like outdated BIOS version, driver issue, incompatible window etc..
Check for the BIOS version

No, you haven't shared anything that would be useful to solve the problem I posted about. Nor do you sound like competent technical support representative who understand what the issue is. My HP Pavillion is less than 2 months old, it's still under full warranty. And none of the tech support I encountered was able to troubleshoot such a simple thing as updating almost brand new computer. It's unfortunate that in order to increase profitability and cut the costs HP decided to hire individuals who are as remote from IT field as Earth is from the center of the Universe. If you are so grossly incompetent that you don't know how to help, then at least stay silent, it will conceal your ignorance.

P.S. Online chat support representative had checked the BIOS version , the one I have installed in my HP is older than the latest update I am unable to upgrade to. Please do not post if you don't know how to fix the issue.

We have done the basic troubleshooting as per the document and the notebook needs to checked taking remote access so that get to know it's a hardware or software issue.
I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer or HP Chat Support Team.
