Laptop Details: HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0140tx
I purchased this awesome laptop for Rs 72900/- at an HP store.
Ive used this laptop for more than year and it is superb.
However, I now have broken hinges and small screws coming ou of the hinge section.
The screen is working fine but I am unable to close the laptop
Screen is not able to stand on its own which is dangerous.
HP is my trusted computer store so far, and i expect good support.
I am now in need of the part which is frame and hinge or just Hinges.
Can anyone help.. I use this laptop for coding and need it fixed ASAP

Hi @Jaisan,
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the replacement Hinges.
You may order the replacement parts on the HP Parts Store, use the HP Parts Surfer to find the part number and If you've already looked for it and couldn't find it on the HP Parts Store, you may want to get it locally at the online store such as Amazon or eBay, etc...as the part numbers are universal.
Alternatively, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:
1) Click on this link.
2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options". Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from, here's how private messages work: Click here for details.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
Click the “Kudos, Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!
Have a great day!

I understand your situation -- but we here can not do anything for you about this.
HP does not do out-of-warranty repairs, no matter what they are. If you want them to make an exception for you, you would have to contact the Service Center on your own and see if they will make the repairs. We here have nothing to say in that.
We are not able, or permitted, to provide any repair estimates or equipment prices.
For this information, you would need to contact an HP Repair or Service Center.
Since you live outside the U.S., here is a link to HP Service Centers, by Country/Region: https://support.hp.com/us-en/service-center
If that link does not provide you sufficient information, then use the main HP link:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
I've found those links to be unreliable if you're using Win10 and the new Edge Browser; so if you are, you need to use something else, like FireFox.
Good Luck

Hi, I have just had this same thing happen to my laptop. I wasn't doing anything odd, just tilted the screen back and something popped now I cannot close my screen. It is out of warranty and I briefly looked in the parts listing but am not sure exactly which part or parts I need.
