same issue

To fix the HP Hotkey Support Warning,

  1. Obtain the most recent hotkey driver by going to https://support.hp.com/ca-en.
  2. Select your model of HP laptop, e.g. HP ZBook Studio x360 G5 (your model may be different).
  3. Select your Windows version, e.g. Windows 11 as OS, and Windows 11 as version.
  4. Under All Software and Drivers click on Driver-Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices.
  5. Click on HP Hotkey Support - UWP.
  6. Click on the software pack, sp151095.exe, (or whichever one is the Hotkey file for your model laptop). The link for sp151095.exe will still only take you to one of the other HP web pages, but you can try it: https://support.hp.com/ca-en/drivers/hp-zbook-studio-x360-g5-convertible-workstation/model/20075827?...   (It is best to download the appropriate hotkey file for your model, because this file might not work for all HP ZBooks or Elitebooks or other HP laptops.)
  7. When advised to install HP's software installer you can chose not to, but instead, download the package and install it manually. Downloading the file should save it to the Downloads folder.
  8. Go to the Downloads folder.
  9. Double-click the file and follow the instructions to install it.
  10. Once you install the HP Hotkey Support UWP softpack file, you still have to do the following to reset the hotkeys in the BIOS: shut down your laptop.
  11. Power on and at the same time keep tapping the esc key or F2 key. One of these should then show you a screen with instructions on how to open the BIOS.
  12. Under tab Advanced> choose System Options.
  13. Check box called "HP Application Driver," uncheck it, then check it again.
  14. Return to the Main tab.
  15. Save changes and exit.

All your hotkeys should now work; at least until the next update, when you might have to repeat steps 10 to 15.

I have the same problem as you, but I have a HP EliteBook 745 5G. What can I do?

HP Recommended

Do what is written in the post right above yours.

This solution definitely resolves the issue. Thank you Pejek.

This one worked well. Thanks

@Pejek, your solution on page 2 still works on September 2024, thank you, man, you saved my day! Other people also reported this solution later but you were the first. This is the right solution for this very specific issue!

Signed up just to say thank you. It worked. I don't understand how or why but that doesn't matter.

Just came back to say that firstly with AI and secondly with Pejek's help i did it! Thank you Pejek.

if you don't have "HP Application Driver" checkbox in the bios (like me), so you can try my solution:

I think it can be applied for windows 10 as well...
