Would I be able to upgrade the 4gb RAM on this here laptop? Seems to be a lot of misinformation

Hi:

 

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates that notebooks with the Celeron processors have one memory slot that supports a max of 1 x 8 GB of DDR4 memory.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide HP 14 Laptop PC

 

Intel's specs on the processor also indicate that 1 x 8 GB of memory is supported.

 

Intel Celeron Processor N4120 4M Cache up to 2.60 GHz Product Specifications

 

In order to upgrade the memory, you will need to remove the 4 GB memory chip and install an 8 GB memory chip in its place.
