HP 17-BS0XX

Hi,

I bought a laptop (HP 17-BS0XX) from US (Chicago) in Feb 2018 and after 8 months of normal use (I am not a heavy user), one of its hinges have broken (hinge material is very poor). I have used many laptops of multiple brands but have never faced such issue.

Another major issue I am facing is that I shifted to India soon after and HP India Support says that they don't have parts available and I should contact HP USA. HP USA says that I need to send the laptop to USA. All this implies that even for a MNC like HP, it makes no sense to buy devices if you spend time in multiple countries (note that India is a huge market for HP products). Dell is known for its customer service but I am really disappointed with HP. I am now with a laptop with broken hinge (otherwise it's great internally) and cannot use it.

Please suggest.

Regards,

Rajesh

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
