Product: HP Notebook - 14-cf0006dx

Hi I'm looking to upgrade the motherboard in my laptop. I really like the size and design of this laptop, but now that I started to use it for more than just writing documents it doesn't really have the power. Are there other motherboards that are compatible whit this chasis? If there are where can i find them listed?

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

 

HP 14 Laptop PC Maintenance and Service GuideIMPORTANT! This document is intended for HP authorized ...

 

Chapter 3, page 21 has the list of supported motherboards.

 

Changing a motherboard is difficult (assuming you can find the one you want), and you also have to buy one that comes with a Windows product key in the BIOS.

 

If you plan to get one with better graphics, you will need a new heat sink as well.

 

You will be looking at a several hundred (USD) project, and it would probably be better to sell your notebook and buy a new one with a better processor.
