Notebook HP – 17-x035nw (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I have decided to add RAM to my HP Notebook - 17-x035nw (ENERGY STAR). I noticed it has a spare slot so I bought 8GB memory. Currently 4GB is installed. I tried my best to keep the parameters close to the RAM that is already installed, but unfortunately something went wrong.

Windows 10 does not see new 8GB memory in both 1 Slot and 2 Slot (same BIOS which I already updated). If I put only the new 8GB chip in the slot (1 or 2), the laptop turns on but the screen is black, and the LED on the caps-lock lights up 3 times slowly.

The strangest thing is that the CPU-Z program displays information about the new memory.

Hi:

The 8 GB memory you bought is not compatible with your notebook.

You can see that the voltage reported is 1.5V, and only 1.35V (DDR3L) memory is supported.

I recommend you try and find this compatible 8 GB memory chip in Poland...
