HP Notebook Battery

My battery is broken on my PC and when I tried to buy a new one I ordered the wrong one. I was hoping someone could send me a link to where I could buy the right battery for my laptop so  I wouldn't have to do many returns (my laptop is an HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC).

The problem is specificity. We need the exact model of your laptop to tell you what battery you need. There are dozens of different Pavilion 15 Notebook PCs.

How do I find what model I have? I googled it and in all the places I should find my model number and all I found was my serial/product number, are one of them the same as model numbers?

Don't post the serial number but the product number will work.

15-p077sa is the model number and the battery is a 4-cell external customer clip in battery:

4 cell, 41 WHr, 2.8A H Li-ion battery 756743-001

Lots of these available on UK Amazon. If you want a true genuine original HP battery (at significantly higher cost) let us know and we will find one. The battery I linked would be fine.

Thank you for your help but I'm afraid when I put the battery in, while my computer was still able to work, my computer read it as "no battery detected" and when I unplugged my computer it just shut off. I think at this point I may need to start looking at new laptops but thank you for your help.
