HP Notebook battery life

Here are the specs https://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c06060661 of this laptop that I am thinking of purchasing, however I am not sure how long the battery life is. Do you think you can give me an aproximate battery life in terms of hours of medium to hard usage?

So to determine a laptop's battery life, just by looking at the number of cells we could determine the hours?

Roughly but also depends on screen size processor power etc.

If this laptop were a 14inch screen size and the processor is intel core i5-8250U how would you check the battery life for this system?

You really cannot check it specifically. It varies. Kind of like gas mileage on a car. The manufacturer says 40 miles to the gallon. One user with one car gets 35. Another user with a different car (same model) gets 32. Best we can say is you get low to mid-30s. Same with battery life. You are going to get 3-4 hours with that type of laptop. HP will claim you will get 7 or 8. Take it with a grain of salt. Laptop battery life has always been over promised by the manufacturers.
