Hello,

 

I have a hardware problem on my HP OMEN laptop. The screen has popped out of the backing at the bottom left corner. The problem is getting worse as I open and close the laptop more of the screen is coming unstuck.

 

To me it looks like the glue holding the screen in has stopped working. Please could you provide some advise on how to fix.

 

The laptop is no longer under warranty.

Its a problem with the hinge. I will see if this can be escalated to HP for assistance.

Hello,

 

Thank you for escalating. However, I do not think it is a problem with the hinge. The hinge itself works fine. The screen is popping out of its metal casing.

Fixed a lot of laptops? The hinge structure also holds the screen inside the casing. When it starts to go, it no longer holds the screen in place. The glue if there is any just holds the plastic bezel in place and does not hold the screen in place.

I am facing the exact same issue. The screen of my HP Pavillion X360 has popped out of the bezel. Also some screws have fallen off from the back.
