I have an HP OmniBook 7 Flip 16-au0xxx, which has Intel Arc graphics. Its sister model, the standard OmniBook 7 16-ay0xxx, has an option for a dedicated GPU - the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050. Since they both use Intel Arc graphics, is there any way I can upgrade my current laptop’s GPU, possibly to the same NVIDIA 4050, excluding external GPUs?

Hi @abbys7103

It's not possible, GPUs are always soldered to the motherboard, so you can only get a different graphics card by changing the motherboard. But this model does not offer a motherboard with a dedicated GPU.

It is 100% possible Lol. I'd advise you not to say something is impossible when it is more than doable. I'd like someone else to answer, is the Nvidia 4050 a good fit for this laptops power, otherwise what GPU is recommended that can handle gaming and anything else that would need upgrading to handle the GPU?
