Hi,
My Laptop has been acting super slow recently (it has been 3.8 years).
To increase its performance, I want to get my current HardDisk removed and would love an SSD to take its place.
Also I want to increase my RAM to 8 GB (from 4 GB)
Kindly let me know if this is possible.
Are there two slots for RAM? If yes, should I just buy an addititonal 4 GB or buy 2 latest 4 GB RAMs?
Product Details:
HP PAVILLION G6 2320 TX NB PC

Service Manual:
See p. 46.
Specified module:
4 GB (PC3, 12800, 1600 MHz) 641369-001
You can buy 2 of these if you wish but adding 1 to the existing module will also work just fine and provide all the performance the laptop is capable of giving as far as memory.
You can also install a 2.5 inch SATA SSD in place of the hard drive. Let us know if you need help with software reinstallation. With Windows 10 already installed you can easily download a restore disk directly from Microsoft to at least get the OS reinstalled on the SSD.

You can use Windows 10 itself to do a bootable recovery drive:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/create-a-recovery-drive
Use an external hard drive to make the recovery drive, then you can use that to recover the SSD back to the same state. You can also use cloing software like Clonezilla or Acronis

HP will only support making a factory recovery disk that would reinstall the original OS. This explains using the Windows 10 recovery drive. You need an external hard drive and also a Windows 10 disk we can help you download from Microsoft using the Media Creation tool
