Hello,

A few days ago, I have upgraded my laptop. Everything's working fine, but ever since I took it apart, at the top middle part of the bottom base/back of the laptop, above the HP product info and rear vent, underneath the 'PAVILION' branding and cooling vent, the casing creeks when pressure is applied onto it by my hand. It seems the case has been lifted and isn't being held in properly anymore. I have tried a few times to re-open and close the casing with no effect.

I was considering using super-glue to close it, but I honestly don't know what to do at this point.

Don't use superglue. Very bad idea.

You can break the little plastic clips that hold the bottom and top covers together during removal but then you would see little plastic pieces on the desk and it is hard to break them all, so I doubt that is the problem. When you put the back cover back on sometimes you need to hook it in place on one side, usually the rear by the fan outlet, to engage the clips. It is not a straight down click it in place thing. Then pivot it down and put in the screws on the front edge and put the screws in the back in last. Try this and see if it does not fit up better.

Hi.

Thank you for the help. It's been a few days now, it has held for the first few but not it is back to what it was before. Do you have any other suggestions?

Please help

Thank you so much!

Sounds like maybe you did break the plastic clips. I frankly would have to see it to understand what is going on.
