Hi,
I purchased this laptop last week and looking at the manual, we should be able to upgrade the ram to 16 Gb/32Gb (single memory slot) (manual suggests 16 GB but crucial says can go up to 32GB) and there's also an additional bay for 2.5-inch SSD. Let me know whether ram and additional SSD upgrades are possible and what are the spare parts (cables and HDD brackets screws) needed and where to get them. Thanks for your help

You need the following parts
- The hard drive bracket is available using spare part number L19469-001,
- The hard drive cable is available using spare part number L19172-001
Parts with prefix "L" are very hard to find.

Thanks for your response. Any suggestion on Ram whether its possible to upgrade?
Also little off-topic. This laptop has a loud whining noise right from day one. All reviews complaining about the same and its not just me. Is there any way I can fix or lower the fan noise?
So far what I did to address fan noise
Updated BIOS and drivers using HP support assistant
Turned cool sense OFF
Went to power plan and changed processor cooling policy to passive, processor max state to 80%
Thanks for your help and appreciate your time

very difficult to find the same exact part number. Let me know whether this one will work

For HDD cable is there any other alternative part number that will work?
Worst case for bracket I can use either 3M tape or velcro to attach SSD
Thanks
