I'm trying to find a replacement for my current wifi card that came with the laptop because it is only single band, and I'm trying to find a dual-band replacement, but I'm not really sure about the compatibility of the wifi cards on my laptop. Any help? All I know that my laptop supports M.2 Wifi cards (based on the manual), but can I install any type of M.2 wifi cards? Thank you.

Thank you for joining the HP Support Community
The parts listed here are the ones which are tested and compatible with your PC
So this is a 1x1 card, the 2x2 card is not tested
However, If you wish, you can try at your own risk
Keep me posted, how it goes!
If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution and Kudos buttons, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
Have a great day!

@aimanyt finding a compatible wireless card could be a tedious task as you'll need to ensure the wireless card is supported by the motherboard among other components on your device, the easier workaround would be is to buy a USB 2x2 Wi-Fi dongle and plug it to one of the USB ports of the computer, then connect it to the Wi-Fi router (plug & play - no compatibility issues) to go online.
This is a cost-effective and economical solution. You could order one from eBay or Amazon for a lot cheaper than an internal card.
You could also contact your local Best Buy or Staples store for doing it.
If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.
