I’m having trouble with my Hp Pavilion 15. The Wi-Fi works normally at first, but every time I restart the laptop, it fails to reconnect automatically. I've to go into Device Manager,  disable and then re-enable the wireless adapter to get it working again.

I've already tried:

  • Updating the Realtek wireless driver from HP Support Assistant and Windows Update

  • Resetting network settings in Windows

  • Checking for BIOS updates

Still, the problem continues. The Windows troubleshooter often says “The default gateway is not available.”

Has anyone experienced something similar? Could this be a driver conflict or a power management issue with the wireless adapter? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

The only suggestion I can offer would be to install the latest Realtek wifi driver that HP currently has available.

it should be newer than any of the drivers you have tried previously.
