Hi:
You will have to open up the notebook and check to see if there is a M.2 slot present.
Some model15-auXXX, have them and some don't.
The Crucial memory report shows SATA M.2 SSD's are supported, and so does the service manual.

But, chapter 3 of the manual also indicates that there is a SSD board that has to be added to the motherboard to support a M.2 SATA SSD.
It would be there in the models that have both a hard drive and a M.2 SSD or for those models that only had a M.2 SSD, but it may not be there in those models that only have a 2.5" hard drive.
So, check first before buying.
Many folks are disappointed when they buy first and open up the PC only to find the M.2 slot is missing.
