Pavilion 15-bc000nv
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hello,

I want to upgrade my laptop, the HP Pavilion 15-bc000nv and just want an extra opinion as the Internet has nothing up to date with what I'm looking for.

SSD
Originally for the SSD, I was thinking of putting the Samsung 970 Pro 512 GB, which is NVMe, and the laptop accepts this kind of protocol. The point is that in the past, someone has made the same post before, it says that it can cause some compatibility issues with the 970 as it is quite new while the laptop is older and one of the first gens to have NVMe support. Any new opinions to the subject? To be honest I would not want to buy it and then find out that it has a compatibility issue. If I cannot find the PM961 does the PM981 can cause compatibility issues too?

RAM
According to the manual, the maximum RAM is 16GB 2133MHz DDR4. But in the same post, he says he can even lift up to 32GB. Apart from being worth it (I don't play games too much but I run programs like MATLAB and others for simulations) the only modules I find with 32GB are at 2400MHz. Still in the manual it states "Two SODIMM slots - customer non-accessible/non-upgradeable DDR4-2133 Dual Channel Support (DDR4-2400 bridge to DDR4-2133)", does this mean it can support 2400MHz but will run like 2133MHz?

Thank you in advance

And as for the SSD:

Sorry for the late reply,

Well the model of my laptop is actually the HP Pavilion 15-bc000nv (2017 model I think, with ProdID:FIY84EA#AB7) I didn't typed just the series. The picture from the series manual you provided, doesn't even include my model and I'm nto judging just by the models but I even check the hardware on each one and is totally different. Also I still remember that there was a manual for my model exclusively and not for the whole series. unfortunately I cannot find it anymore. Any new ideas?

Best
