Good afternoon. interested in the laptop HP Pavilion 15-bc404ur i5 8300H gtx1050 1) what is the maximum amount of ozu can be installed? (I'm going to buy for work in adobe premiere pro cc).

2) will I lose the warranty if I add the RAM and SSD myself?

ozu =memory???

Service Manual:

Manual

Uses DDR4-2666 SO-DIMM and there are 2 slots. The Manual (p. 11) for some reason says it will only support 8 gigs but this is wrong. It can do 16 gigs (2 x 😎 or even 32 gigs (2 x 16). Since this model is so new and the Manual has proven itself to be untrustworthy I would open it first to see if there are indeed 2 slots but if there are, it will take 16 or 32 gigs. You can open it for upgrading memory and storage without losing your warranty.

It can take an Intel 16 gig Optane module and says it can take a dual storage HDD plus M.2 SATA but again, if it can take an Optane module it will also take a M.2 PCIe/NVME as primary storage.

Pages 37-46 of the Manual show upgrade access.
