I am a bit skeptical when it comes to compatibility of certain upgradable parts in my laptop. I think my laptop needs a storage upgrade since my HDD always hit 100% speed when using Photoshop. I am planning to add M.2 drive in it but I keep questioning on what kind of M.2 drive should I add, what type of SSD that compatible with my laptop? So much like NVME, PCIe based, speed and so on... That is my biggest doubt actually.
And also I do not know what HP makes my laptop compatible with. What I always find out is the configuration, the specifications HP put the laptop, nothing about the upgradable parts. I did found myself the RAM having two slots and the M.2 slot when I opened and add the RAM once. So now, my only uncertainty is what drive should I pick to add? I am using Pavilion 15-cs0033tx (Malaysia) bought in 2018.

That is due to low RAM and slow HDD. Less RAM machine needs to swap/page out to disk many time per millisecond and disk is too slow therefore it has to spin itself to dead.
Firstly you need to upgrade RAM. You can upgrade to 16GB using Crucial CT2K8G4SFS824A.
For storage, you can add the following M.2 NVMe SSD (or similar) to your machine and keep existing HDD
