I'm trying to find out information about the motherboard in this laptop. I can't find any pictures for it. All I know is that it's a Intel® HM370 which will differ depending on which manufacturer made the mobo. Normally the HM370 has 1 x M.2 port so that's encouraging, but I can't find further details.
I want to upgrade the laptop with a new M.2 drive but I need to know what is possible and which one to get.
UPDATE 1: I manged to find a service guide which mentions M.2 NVMe drives. It does not mention a maximum size, speed or other factors.

The limit is very high, many vendors now can squeeze 4TB to the physical size (2280). It is safe to use 1TB or 2TB

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06075371
Manual : http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06001788.pdf
As from page 4 of the manual, its M.2 slot supports both SATA 3 and NVMe with Gen 7 processors.
Regards.

That's excellent thanks.
Warning
For anyone else reading this I would advise you to use a repair shop or HP to get this done rather than trying to do it yourself. A few months back I tried to open it up myself by using similar tutorials on Youtube, but for a slightly different model. I couldn't get in using platic tools and screw driver and I managed to snap a piece of plastic off around the battery compartment 😫. I had to pay HP £250 to fix it. Fortunately they were able to fix this model still.
