HP Pavilion 17-g192nr compatible motherboards

This laptop died -- no power when I press the power button - no fans - nothing!

Tried everything, hard reset, with battery and ac adapter, without battery but with ac adapter, without ac adapter but with battery etc. Still nothing.

I connected an external DVD drive to the usb ports and no power is supplied to the DVD

I connected an external monitor to the HDMI post  and there is nothing.

Is the motherboard dead?

When I connect the ac adapter and check the voltage across the battery connector pins, I get

0.0V, 0.13V and 0.57V across different pins from smaller pins to the two long pins.

How can there be voltage across battery pins if no power is supplied to the motherboard?

If the motherboard is dead, (Model: X1FD;   DAX1FDMB6F0;  Rev: F), what other compatible motherboards that I can use? This has a soldered-in  Intel i7-6700HQ with, I believe HM170 PCH. 

I am not very picky about the processor, any processor will do.

If you look on page 25 of the  Service Manual  It will show the various motherboards with and without gpu. There should be new and used boards for sale just google the part number you want.

edit- just noticed those boards listed are intel 5xxx series, not 6xxx series. Are you sure you listed the correct model number?

I would like to withdraw my acceptance as a solution in lieu of Mr. Pbroussard's observation that these are I5 Boards - good catch!

On the support site for Pavilion 17-g192nr, HP has posted the service guide for Models 17-g000 – 17-g099 only. The one I have does not start with "g0".

Can HP post the correct service guide as well as other manuals for the model I have?

Also, the real question is, has the motherboard gone bad? - If so, how can there be voltage across battery pins on the motherboard?

You seem to be familiar with using a multimeter, so I assumed you checked the AC apapter output. If adapter has correct voltage, and there is only residual voltage at the battery connector, then it's usually the DC port in has been jiggled around a lot in it's lifetime and needs to be resoldered or solder in a new one. If you can probe past the jack with good voltage then the charging system on the motherboard has died.

edit- please double check your model number found on the bottom of the laptop.

Yes, I double-checked the model number- it clearly states that it is so.

Also, when I entered the serial number and product id in HP Support website, it again shows that it is so. But the maintenance guide is posted is for the "HP Pavilion Notebook 17; Models 17-g000 – 17-g099; Intel Models; Maintenance and Service Guide".

Can you elaborate on "If you can probe past the jack with good voltage then the charging system on the motherboard has died.". Does this mean that I can use the laptop only when the ac adpater is plugged in? As I mentioned earlier, it does not work.

What voltages should I see across various battery connector pins on the motherboard and elsewhere past the charging port?
