Searching for a 2GB DDR I was able to find a 200MHZ DDR-400/PC3200 stick that's CL3 (waits 3 clock cycles).

 

Could  not find any DDR memory lower than 3200 Mhz.

 

It's been a while since I've looked at technical aspects of memory and whats involved with different types of memory but  remember there are math  problems and  limitations involved with speed, time and how much memory can be accessed.

 

I seem to remember CL (CAS) latency to be involved when using DDR vs DDR2 memory.
