You first either need to search in the support page for your computer model, download the drivers from top to bottom insuring proper instolation (sometimes GPU drivers (graphics cards) download and try to use their own audio drivers, mainly AMD as far as i know) you can also auto detect, if that doesnt work, download HP Support Assistant and install it and open it and the latest version for my computer displays my computer model (g7 2340dx), or you can do a search based on product number. if you download HP support assistant eventually you will have an offer to check your warrenty and if your warreny has expired you can renew it for around 100$ ( check into what the warrenty covers to see if you want it or not) just saying. but put your product number into the driver search which is by product number or model and your computer should come up. if this doesnt find your computer's drivers you can download HP Support Assistant and it will download drivers for you too (forgot to mention that) but my version of HP support assistaint hasn't been keen on certain drivers (doesnt give me an update for my GPU [graphics processing unit]), if that for whatever reason gives you no drivers to download look to see if it mentions what model your computer is (ps don't post your product ID on here whatsoever please? say yay?) and i will look for your drivers cause theres another HP site for drivers that is still owned and operated by HP.

Drivers for your HP G4 1303au laptop sir
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=5280049
Be sure to download the drivers from top to bottom. do not install two drivers at once (for instance, your audio driver is seperate from your graphics driver, but someitmes your graphics driver with AMD and maybe Intel etc. have their own audio drivers, the audio driver provided first from top to bottom on the screen with the drivers will automatically ignore other audio drivers and keep the best one (itself) which could be louder or more clearer or not messed up in any way).

HP tests all these drivers to see if they work properly. they are optimized for your system for best performance and quality ( don't need a high electric bill because your computer is doing more than it should on a scale of how much your power cord wants to put out and how much your house is being compared by your drivers to use how much electricity, like a Graphics Processing Unit pushing 1600Mhz could cause a 20$ jump in your electric bill becaese it's being overclocked more than it should be, like 800Mhz and below.)
