Hello lchlhm830916,
The HP Pavilion g6-2252sa Notebook PC uses a 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5-3210M. This can be upgraded to the Intel Core i7-3632QM processor (2.2 GHz, SC turbo up to 3.1 GHz, 1600 MHz/6 MB L3 cache, quad-core, 35 W). You will get a quad-core processor with an additional 3 MB of L3 cache.
Steps to replacement are located on pages 85-86 of your computer's Maintenance and Service Guide. A lot of internal components will need to be removed to access the CPU. Please make sure to use new thermal paste.
I did find one on eBay with 4.5 stars: https://www.ebay.com/p/Intel-Core-i7-3632QM-2-2GHz-Quad-Core-AW8063801152800-Processor/219436141
Hope this answers your question,
Eddy

Hell lchlhm830916,
Unfortunately no. This is because the 3rd generation and 4th generation use physically different sockets. Furthermore, this laptop series'/motherboard's best processor is the Intel Core i7-3632QM. Going higher may induce heat/compatibility issues as they are not meant to be used in these laptops.
However, I do want to inform you that you should make sure to open the laptop before making the purchase of the Intel Core i7-3632QM because there's a slight chance that your processor is integrated into the motherboard.
I hope this answers your question.
Best regards,
Eddy
