@Krishna1220, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

When your HP Pavilion Laptop displays a steadily blinking power button without turning on, it can indicate several potential issues. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot the problem:

Check the Power Source:

  • Ensure that the power adapter is correctly connected to both the laptop and a functional power outlet.
  • Verify that there are no visible damages to the power cable or adapter.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery if it's removable.
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to drain any residual power.
  • Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then try turning on the laptop.

Inspect the Battery:

  • If the battery is removable, take it out and try connecting the laptop directly to the power adapter without the battery.
  • If the laptop powers on, the battery might be the issue.

Check Laptop Power Indicator Lights:

  • A blinking power button might indicate a low battery or a battery that isn't charging correctly.
  • Refer to the laptop's user manual to understand the indicator light codes.

Connect to External Devices:

  • Disconnect all peripherals like USB devices and external displays to see if they are causing power issues.

Observe Charging LED Indicators:

  • When plugged in, observe any LED indicators for charging. If they do not light up, the charging mechanism might be faulty.

Inspect for Overheating:

  • Ensure the laptop is on a hard, flat surface and not overheating due to blocked vents. Overheating can cause it to enter a protective shutdown.

Consider BIOS or Hardware Faults:

  • A consistent failure to boot could indicate BIOS or hardware issues. In such cases, contacting HP support or visiting an authorized service center for a thorough diagnosis might be necessary.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
