HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-ab516tx Device Upgrade

Hello Everyone,

I want to Upgrade memory of my HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-ab516tx (Product number: T0Z59PA#ACJ) from 8GB to 16 GB. I have few questions regarding that:

1. I want to confirm , does it support 16 GB memory? And does it have 2 slots for RAM memory?

2. Which is the supported RAM I should use?

I also want to add SSD in place of my DVD drive. Is this a good Idea. Please suggest some good SSDs for my laptop model .

Yes, your HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-ab516tx (T0Z59PA) has two RAM slots, and according to: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/pavilion-15-ab516tx, it does support up to 2 x 8GB of DDR3 PC3-12800, 1600 MHz, Non-ECC, Unbuffered, SODIMM, 204-pin RAM sticks.

And yes, it would be a good idea to get rid of your DVD drive in favor of an additional SSD storage drive, by using a 2nd Hard Drive Caddy Adapter.

One more question.. I already have one 8 GB RAM (8GB Samsung 1600MHz) preinstalled. So can I just purchase one from your suggested brand and use it with the existing one?

Also, please suggest some good battery options as my current battery drains very fast.

Yes, that should work just fine I suppose.  Preferably, see if you can purchase an identical Samsung 8GB RAM stick.

According to HP PartSurfer, the battery your laptop requires has part number: 800049-001 "BATTERY 4C 41WHr 2.8AH LI KI04".
