Product: HP Pavilion Notebook - 15z-ab000 CTO

Looking for the original hard drive that came with my laptop. My brother messed with the laptop wiped the hard drive now I need to replace it because it was tossed in the trash because I had to use another hp hard drive I had from another laptop and this laptop had never been the same. I don't know what my laptop came with nor do I know what to buy.

Enter your notebook's serial number in the search window at the link below and it should provide the part number and description of the drive that came with your notebook.

It appears that all of those models came with 2.5" SATA mechanical hard drives so my recommendation would be to replace the mechanical hard drive with a better performing 2.5" solid state drive (SSD).

You're very welcome.

 

I believe you have to replace the entire top cover as the keyboard is not a separate part.

 

See chapter 3 of the service manual for the keyboard/top cover part number by country.
