I have the same exact issue as this one Houndz's 'Laptop battery issues - Shutting down randomly and not turning on untii plugged in'. posted on 08-27-25 in this hp forum too

Does anyone now if there is a fix for this?

Here's a breakdown of my issues

Laptop Power / Battery Issues

  • Laptop won’t turn on using the power button unless the charger is plugged in; charger required to “jump start” the laptop.

  • Laptop turns on for a while but then randomly shuts down.

  • Sometimes the laptop can turn on without the charger, but still randomly shuts down:

    • Can happen during Windows login screen.

    • Can happen even after using the laptop for a full battery charge.

  • Issue started recently (about last month).

  • Laptop is relatively new, in use since May 2025.

Battery Information (from report)

  • Battery Name: WE04068XL

  • Manufacturer: 333-CF-18-A

  • Serial Number: 1285

  • Chemistry: Li-ion

  • Design Capacity: 68,000 mWh

  • Full Charge Capacity: 60,170 mWh

  • Cycle Count: 24

Troubleshooting / Tests Performed

  • UEFI Diagnostics test: all results normal.

  • Windows PC reset: performed, issue persists.

  • HP Recovery Tool reset: performed, issue persists.
and any other fixes that i could think off in the drivers
