HP Pavilion X2 10-n100na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

I have a HP Pavilion X2 10-n100na tablet/laptop which is way out of warranty but still works for the purpose I bought it.

However, the hinge has become very stiff and, as a result, the back of the lid/screen has cracked one one (R/H) side. I've tried sticking it with super glue but the crack has opened up again. I see on here that this seems to be a problem with other HP devices:

1 - has anyone had a similar problem with this type of device (i.e., the detachables)? and

2 - any ideas on a safe and effective way to repair it (e.g., would model cement work or 'plastic welding' with a soldering iron)?

Thanks in advance
