HI guys,

I want to upgrade my 4gb ram to 8 gb or 16, and my 500 gb HDD to 120gb SSD.
The problem is i am not quite sure what rams and SSD's are compatible.

My current specs are:
CPU
    Intel Core i5 430M @ 2.27GHz
    Arrandale 32nm Technology
RAM
    4.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 532MHz (7-7-7-20)
Motherboard
    Hewlett-Packard 3659 (CPU)
Graphics
    Generic PnP Monitor (1366x768@60Hz)
1024MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M (HP)
Storage
    465GB Hitachi HTS725050A9A364 (SATA)
1GB JMCR SD/MMC SCSI Disk Device (NULL)
I am thinking about Corsair 8GB DDR3-1333MHz (CMSO8GX3M1A1333C9) for ram,
and Adata Premier Pro SP310 128GB for SSD.
Will they be compatible with my laptop? If not which ones do you suggest?
Thanks in advance.
Any help is much appreciated!

It will take 8 gigs. It is DDR3-1066 aka PC3-8500 SO-DIMM and this is the part specified in the Manual:

Memory modules, PC3, 1066-MHz FSB ■ 4096-MB 579156-001

http://www.amazon.com/2X4GB-DDR3-SODIMM-PC3-8500-Memory/dp/B00E0TIQWQ/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1464985...

The memory you chose will likely work but sometimes the faster memory will not downclock and HP laptops definitely prefer low density memory, 8 blocks per side not 4.

The SSD you have selected will be OK but I encourage you to spring for at least a 240 gig model. 128 gigs is a bit confining in today's environment and SSD prices are down as is memory. Never been a better time to upgrade. I just picked up a 240 on eBay, major brand, for $56 shipped.
