Hello everyone!
My mother owns an HP Pavilion dv6 which should be model VB846BN as from dxdiag report.
It runs really slow and the ram result always on 3.6 from 3.8 GB, could you please provide me a list which RAM’s are compatible with this laptop so I can upgrade with the best ones at maximum allowed RAM.
I tried to re-install OS but still the same, the laptop is still running really slowly and cannot open and work on it.
Thank you 🙏

You're very welcome.
The dv6-3140SL can support a maximum of 2 x 4 GB of DDR3-1333 (10600) memory.
See this discussion for the type of memory you need. Anything else will not work.

An 8 GB memory chip will not work at all in your notebook.
You can only install another 4 GB memory chip with the characteristics of the one currently installed or what I have described in that other discussion.
The person has the same chipset and processor series as yours and you can see the list of memory he tried that did not work.
