HP Pavilion dv6t-6100 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC

Looking for maximum RAM for this older notebook. Visited HP support and only reference to the MAX RAM is what version of Windows is running on the laptop.  This is an older pc (9+ years) so I am concerned there is a limit to the RAM based on the processor and Motherboard.  I have 8BG installed.  I am looking to upgrade to 16GB.  My guess is that 8GB was the limit but I am not sure.

This is not my primary PC, but I would like to keep it as a usable backup.

Any suggestions or Help would be appreciated.   Thank You

Hi:

The Intel dv6-6100's can support 2 x 8 GB of memory.

Below is the link to the service manual.   Chapter 1, pp 5 & 6 have the memory upgrade info.
