I have owned this laptop for 2 years and recently It became stiff to open. Subsequently this has developed so that the bottom right hinge is forcing the screen from the plastic casing. As HP only gave a 1 year warranty I have been told by HP that there will be an approximate cost of £200+ to fix this plus time without a laptop. This is not good customer service. Moreover I have seen this same problem complained about by various people on various tech websites which indicates the fault is a recurring one in many similar HP products - so why is the cost and inconvenience for this being passed to the consumer? I expect this laptop will stop functioning as the fault worsens which after only 2 years is unacceptable. I am a very careful user and the laptop is not transported anywhere. If/when I have to buy another laptop it will not be an HP one! The HP reputation is seriously diminished after this experience.
