Hello,

I have a HP Pavillion Model: dv5-1004el , which doesn't turn on, gives blinking code of CPU problem.

If I have to replace CPU i want to upgrade it as much as possible, which CPU model will be compatible with this notebook?

Hi:

 

I have zipped up and attached the dv5-1000 series service manual below.

 

Chapter 1 has the list of supported AMD and Intel processors the model series came with.

 

I can't find any specs on what model processor your notebook came with but if it has an AMD processor, then you can only replace it with one of the supported AMD processors in chapter 1 and if it came with an Intel processor, you can only replace it with one of the supported Intel processors in chapter 1.
