Battery not charging; HP Support Assistant Battery Diagnostics indicated "Cannot detect battery". Performed the following:
1. Took battery out shut down and then replaced battery and turned on PC using AC power (does not boot without AC)
2. Ran HP Support Assistant Battery Diagnostics again - still "Cannot detect battery"
3. Downloaded and ran HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows - Ran AC Adapter Test - "CANCELLED"; ran Battery TEST "FAILED"; then ran system Quick Test and received the following results:
a. Short Drive Test Failed - 94PWKH-80Q9HM-MFPX61-60X613
b. Battery Test Failed
What does this mean? Is it the battery, the adapter, or something else?

Hi,
It seems the device has more than one hardware problem. Did something happen to the PC recently? Is the PC still under warranty?

Not under warranty any longer; nothing in particular happened to the PC
