Windows XP SP2 and newer have the USB drivers included in the installation files.

There are no standalone USB drivers.

You're going to have a hard time finding things for XP because Microsoft has terminated support for Windows Update in XP and Vista.

You have to search for XP software updates on the Microsoft Update catalog website--many, many pages.

Hey, stupid me, I already know what a USB driver is. I have the Express card with USB3.0 inserted there and I haven't installed it yet. I'll play with it tomorrow.
Well, it's definitely not easy and it won't be, now it's up to me.
As for the 5 TB external drives, I might even try the 64-bit one even at the price that something won't work, for example the audio, but on a different HDD. I will try to find some drivers on the catalog or net, if there is anything at all.
Thanks for the support in the meantime.

I think everything will work but the audio with a 64-bit OS.

Just let me know if you need any 64-bit drivers if you decide to do that.

I gave you the 64-bit XP AHCI drivers to slipstream, right?

HP Recommended

Of course you can, I'll be glad for it. I'll definitely give it a try sometime, but only when I've fully resolved this 32-bit version. I also have to try programs that will and will not work - for example Ashampoo music studio, mp3tag editor, etc., but that doesn't really matter now. But first of all, I will have to get the OS itself with the 64-bit version, but this version is not in the Czech language, or is there a translation into Czech? Although I would probably survive even that.

That I don't know.

I have a WXP Pro 64 Bit installation disk I bought a long time ago on eBay for cheap.

You have these options with it...none of them may help you though, unless you also know one of the languages below.

English or Japanese are only provided as native display languages.

Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish and Swedish are available as Multilingual User Interface (MUI) packs for the English version.

Please, could I ask you for the SATA AHCI drivers for 64 bit version? I downloaded installation iso file. I could try it to install. Thank you.

Can I use the same nLite program as for the 32 bit?

HP Recommended

Hi:

Yes, you should be able to use nLite for 32 and 64 bit operations.

I have zipped up and attached the XP 64-bit drivers below:

Thank you very much. Is available some service pack for the XP 64 bit version?

Is available this version as home edition? I found only version Professional.

HP Recommended

You're very welcome.

WXP 64 bit was only released in the Professional version.

Since you can't get automatic updates anymore, you have to get the service packs from the Microsoft:

The download starts automatically.  I don't believe that there was a SP1.

These appear to be most of the relevant updates to XP 64 bit:

Thank you.

The SP1 is integrated in the installation file winXP-64bit.iso. Is it possible that I did the splipstream in nLite by not doing the SP2 integration, skipping it and doing it without it?
The problem was that nLite wrote me a message that the operation can only be performed in a 64-bit OS. I did it on my dv1000 in 32 bit XP and I had no choice. I will install the SP2 from the ISO file later (edited). Installation of the system with slipstream of AHCI drivers was successful, so I have the system already installed. I wonder if this will unlock the ability to use those external 5TB GPT drives. 😄
But now I will have to find all the necessary drivers.
