Hello again HP Community,

I’m looking for a charger for the HP ProBook 6560B where I got it from a free tech lot in my local area. The laptop didn’t come with a charger and I don’t know which one to get? The closest one is this charger on eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/363279988890?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=0TWTOMx7QBG&s...

I hope someone can please help me? Thank you.

Hi, @dugganrouthorn5

Chapter 3 of the service manual indicates that 2 power adapters were offered in the model series...a 65W one and a 90W one.

c03052147 (hp.com)

65-W AC adapter 609939-001

90-W AC adapter 609940-001

I would go for the 90W charger.

You are on the right track, but I don't see a picture of the power cable that goes from the wall socket to the charger in the listing you posted.

Best to get a used but tested and working genuine HP power adapter that also comes with the power cord shown in the listing.

Where can I find a Genuine, Official HP Power Cable for my HP ProBook 6560B separately?

HP Recommended

The power cord you need is out of stock, and it costs a fortune if you were to buy it from HP.

52.72 GBP

HP Parts Store - HP Computer Parts - HP Printer Parts - Compaq Parts

I recommend you search by the part number on eBay and see what turns up:

Not good...costs more on eBay!

I see, I’ll just buy another HP Charger that has the Power Cable included. I found one for about £9.

That's a good idea and you will have two chargers.

I figured you hadn't bought a charger yet and would buy either of the ones for less than 10 pounds on the eBay link I posted the other day.

I didn’t seem to pay attention to the one I was buying. So instead of spending a whopping £54 for just a power cable, I might as well buy the one you suggested that costs way less and plus I’d also have a backup charger. Thanks again. 😊

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.
