Maybe so, I don't have more ideas. But surface scan is ok, booting SUSE, but not accessible - not for reading nor for writing.

The only possible hope is a low level format which is actually an obsolete term but basically means writing zeros to all parts of the drive to wipe out any existing configuration. Surface scan just finds bad sectors but that does not find every possible problem with the disk.

I've tried LLF with hdparm, wipefs, cat /dev/zero >/dev/sdb,  openssl enc -rc4-40 -pass pass:"$(head -c128 /dev/urandom|base64)" -nosalt </dev/sda

Nothing.

I think the chips were written 100,000 times, the drive can only be used in read-only mode. That's it. Case closed. Thank you all.
